If you have the flu you should probably stay home. That didn't change with Covid.

Long before COVID, one of my biggest pet peeves was someone coming into the office coughing and sneezing non-stop, blowing their nose every 10 minutes, etc.

It’s damn easy to do an office job from home for a few days and I’m glad most bosses and managers have realized this. And it’s also obvious when someone is gaming the system and takes 14 days off for a cold or takes 6 cold or flu absences of 3 days each in a year

This has nothing the Zero Covid weirdos who think we are all risking death on a daily basis.

Correction. Covid only kills those with UNDERLYING CONDITIONS. it’s not only Covid.

sad part was a lot of them knew better, but went with it to be opportunistic and virtue signal

Absolutely. Since it was almost never fatal and is weaker now than it's original iterations you'll be building up the herd's immunity.

robably one of the best decisions I ever made was looking at the panicked mob that was half of American society in 2020 and choosing to ignore their guidance at almost every opportunity.

The Chinese Flu farce was just one of a series of opportunities for liberal white women and other easily manipulated simpletons to be in on the next big thing as far as broadcasting their virtue. They had barely got their designer My Little Pony facemasks ordered when it was time to start washing black people's feet. They hadn't gotten their hands dried from that before they were told to start sexually mutilating their children.

Some people are still afraid of their shadows, it’s really sad.

I'm in the hospital today so I have a current perspective and it's about 50/50 nurses with/without masks

Jesus. It's over. Stop with the theater.

I travel alot for work and I still see it in certain places. Flew through Portland a couple months ago and I swear I was in the minority not wearing a mask. San Francisco a couple weeks ago had a fair amount (to be fair it was also heavily Asian and they were wearing masks on planes before the 'rona). Houston almost none.

Work with a lazy POS that called into work the other day and said he was exposed and was getting tested.

At this point, it’s just an excuse to take a few days off work

I caught it for the first time this week. Thoroughly surprised when the doctor told me it's what it was. Really wasn't bad, but persistent. On the 4th day of having fever, I made an appointment and found out. Then wife tested positive. It is actually going around again. Even if it is just a low grade flu. I've since found out of quite a few contacts I may have caught it from.

It's weird right? It didn't go away. And the vaccine doesn't prevent transmission. So why aren't people dropping like flies, the way the news said they were 2 -3 years ago? Why aren't the hospitals packed with the sick and dying?

Like every respiratory virus, it evolved to become less lethal.

There's a girl working at the local whole foods who still double masks with an n95. I don't understand how she even breathes

I know someone every time she gets a cold she tests and says “it isn’t Covid!” Yay? I’ve got a cold from h*ll right now, but didn’t test.

We have one in the lunch threads: Winston Cup.

I think he’s had it about 17 times so far.
