These are the worst types of people. No one asked you to have a kid. Stop using them as an excuse for why you're not completing your work on time. IDGAF that you had to leave at 2 to pick up your child at daycare. Finish your damn work.

I use my kid (will be plural here in a few months) as a way to get out of going to social events that I have no desire to go to.

A lot of the time, these people don't complete their work before kids, then after kids they fall off a cliff.

And how does this affect you? And if you are working past 2 on a Friday, you are doing something terribly, terribly wrong.

It’s not the kid per se that causes it.

It’s pretty easy to figure out that people have no understanding of how to do things efficiently.

For example, watch someone at the self check out line in a grocery store. Shite is painful to watch. All the complaining that the clerks take too long was BS. People take their sweet arse time to do everything.

Also, look at pumping gas. Get the frick out the car, get the gas going and THEN do what you wanted to do on the side and once fuel is done, get the frick out the way.

a-hole. You’re probably one of those doichebags that drop a load of last minute shite on people knowing they have to leave soon. Karma will find you.

I used to work with a woman who adopted a toddler. After the adoption went through it was impossible for her to get to work before 10:00 AM. You would think she was the first person to ever have a child at home.

She totally missed the breakfast shift. I had to make eggs AND hashbrowns for the Big Breakfast platter.

Well, if your family is more important than completing your work obligations you won't have a job or a family to provide for because you spouse will leave your broke arse. I'm sure the person that we let go is going to have an easier time providing for their child now that they don't have to worry about pesky salary.

If you have to leave early to get your kid finish your work from home but don't expect to just leave everyday, blame your kids, and expect to be paid.

I understand that it is frustrating if you have to pick up their slack. BUT have they ever had to pick up your slack while you were on vacation or out sick? I'm guessing yes.

If my son has a soccer game at 6 pm two nights per week, and you call me to get work done (because I technically work until 7 pm my time). It isn't getting done. I will do it when I get home or tomorrow. I'm not missing that game.

If I get a call from daycare that he is sick and needs to come home, you better believe I'll miss a little work to take him to the doctor. I will work that day, but be a little slower. What do you want me to do? Just say sorry to my 4 year old and send him to take care of himself of the day?

Everything always gets done, just not immediately.

ETA: If this is a chronic issue with one specific coworker, all the time, that is a little different.

I do think women like to blame shite on their children or use them as an excuse for just being shitty.

Im not saying family isnt important. But plenty of people have kids and make it work without blaming them for everything.

One of the reasons I want to have kids is for the built in excuses

Plus, having more than one kid is like an excuse multiplier
