Officers responded to the residence at approximately 6:37 p.m. During the investigation, police determined that Dawn had gotten into a "verbal argument" with her husband that resulted in "the discharge of a firearm" and the death of Bradley.

quote:

Dawn discussed the argument with investigators. According to a probable cause affidavit, she told them that her husband had been routinely leaving his 9 mm handgun in unsecured locations where children could reach it for at least two years.

quote:

On Sunday, Dawn said she returned home to discover the gun lying on a coffee table in the living room and confronted Bradley about its dangerous location. She said he refused to move it somewhere safe.

Dawn told investigators that she became "angry" with her husband, grabbed the gun, pointed it at him and pulled the trigger to "show him a lesson."

The gun went off and Dawn said he husband fell face down onto the living room floor. She said that she "screamed" and threw the firearm across the room.

Dawn's son, who was home at the time of the shooting, performed CPR on Bradley while she called 911. First responders rushed to the scene, but Bradley was pronounced dead.

And there was Lyman. Bleedin, sprawled in his favourite chair. You know, everyone knew our marriage was a disaster. If I'd so much as touched that gun, they'd have charged me with murder.

Nothing about the result of her actions should have surprised her.

Should just claim that she was "cleaning it" and it accidentally went off .

That defense has worked numerous times in the past.

Nope. Rule 1 is “Every gun is loaded.”

2 is the no pointy thing at other things rule.

This is just layers of stupid.

I cba to look up Pennsylvania's law on the subject, but even taking her at face value, this would be an easy Manslaughter conviction in Louisiana.
