Kid probably had it coming but she is a fatty Mrs Piggy so I’m okay with her being arrested on principle. Hopefully she did some lasting damage before the cuffs came on though.

She could have just asked a flight attendant to let her move to an empty seat away from the kid.
Which brings up something I learned from personal experience: Delta will not let you change seats to get away from a misbehaving child if the child is yours...

A welcome to the real world moment for the kid. Hopefully she doesn't get charged so he learns a little respect. If she gets charged formally he'll always think he can say whatever he wants.
