Parking - do you pull in forward, or are you a “backer-inner”?

I’ve always pulled in forward all my life, but notice many folks back in no matter what the situation. Often wondered why. What's your preference?

I back in, but it's a "whatever the situation requires" kind of thing.

I back in 75% of the time if I cant pull through...... it's easier to see when your getting out.

This.

When you have a full size truck, you learn the value of backing in pretty pretty damn fast to the point where its essential, especially in tight parking lots.

Statistically, backing in (back-first) reduces the likelihood of having an accident when you are pulling out from a parked position.

Based on the length of the vehicle and the space available.

Empty parking lot? I'd pull in with a rv.

arse tight and narrow spaces? I back in with a civic.

Almost always pull in forward. Pretty much the only time I don't is when I'm parking at a game, event, etc. where there is going to be a line of cars leaving (particularly in a deck). Much easier to pull forward to get in line in that situation.

I've always backed into parking spots.

Significantly easier to back into a parking spot than back out of one.

This/\ I will pull forward into most open lot parking spaces, but occasionally back in. Now, if parallel parking, it's almost always back and cut into the spot since I drive a full size pickup and there's hardly enough room to pull into spots along the curb going forward.

If there are two spots open, I'll sometimes pull in forward. 90% of the time, I'm backing in. It's just easier.

My gf has a GX470 and SLK 280, and those get pulled in forward. Much shorter. The SLK is half as short as my truck

many gov't and companies require this when parking.
Also some schools I know have put the policy in place after a kid was backer over when pulling out.
