I'm pretty sure there aren't many that are 4K in BR after the fees that go along with tuition. Most are closer to 5-6k.

I was paying around 7K pre K, then got a little pay raise when she went to St Aloysius. I think when it was all said and done it ran me around 6k which included cost for cooking at fair. Which is money well spent.

SJA is running me right about 15k. She's a Jr so I'm almost done.

It’s not required, but frowned upon for not giving...

We are touring schools for our boys who will be in kindergarten in a year. Parkview was near 9000 for that grade level. The lady said tuition increases 2-3% each year for all grades...they seemed to have their stuff together. Yo need to apply in January for the next school year. They have financial aide.

Toured Central Private and their tuition is near 5000 but they’re still in T-buildings due to floods. Their gym isn’t finished either. Faculty seemed ok and student gontracher ratio was similar to Parkviews.

Runnels school is about 8k for pre-K I think. Elementary is 9-ish and jr high/HS is right at 10K. 20% discount for second child. Discount incrrrases a little for more than two. Of course some additional fees.

4K for catholic school not high school

Then add on another $1500+ thru the year for extras. My daughter is bitching about take all the time. Flat out told her, think back, we paid for her and our son all the way thru 8 years at LSU. That shuts her up quick.

Why private schools? Do you hate diversity?

those are crazy numbers. Catholic private elementary school here is $3K and top notch academic/athletic high schools are $10-$12K. I wonder if the lower prices than ya'll are seeing in BR is a result of the pretty damn good public schools here in the suburbs. I will also add maybe its because the public high school on the edge of my subdivision has only about 20 black kids in the whole school.

Dang I wish tuition was what it is in Baton Rouge. Here in Atlanta it’s crazy. $27k for my son, got a pay raise when the oldest left for college.

Not BR but Louisiana and it's $647.00 a month for 11 month's plus about $1,000 in miscellaneous fees.

Ive put 3 kids through St George and costs have gone up over the years and are currently around 5k per student. These same kids through Catholic High and St Josephs Academy where tuition has gone to almost 12k per year. Goes up by about 300-500 per year so factor that in. Also figure registration fee each year which is about 500 per student.

I think I spent around $350,000+ so far getting a couple of kids through school. From daycare to LSU.

Still not done.

+Property taxes to pay for schools they didn’t go too.

One of the reasons I come here is to forget about what private school costs.

Many just move to Houston to take advantage of the excellent schools and live a little better and have more money in your pocket

I hear minimal is required but many I talk to act as if they have to more than that. I also hear U-High can require donations to LSU/TAF.

No clue if any of that is true but if it is then that is a cost.

You’re paying extra property tax in Houston for your kids to go to those free schools right??

So you are basically paying tuition for those schools.
