Weren’t you talking up Central partially because of the schools in another thread?

Yeah I don't live there anymore because I don't want to drive an hour to work. My dad still does though

What school does tour child go to and what grade are they in... Just wanted to see what yearly tuition is for private schools.

I’m counting the days until private school relief. ...LSU’s daycare runs about 12k/yr, and it’s gonna be more expensive to get my son to first grade than it cost me for a BA, MA, and a JD combined.

Fair point. Didn’t make sense at first.

no worries. I grew up and went to school there but now work near Perkins and Bluebonnet which would be a crappy commute. My daughter goes to private in BR.

I priced that one and thought it was closer to 5.5-6k? I was probably also factoring in my non-Catholic infidel tax

Still an option if we need it in the future

Bless your heart...I can see the upper school from my house and was married in episcopal church. I can't stomach 15k a year for that education, per child. That being said we spend about 7 with the cat licks.

Don't most catholic schools require donations to the parish?

Magnet schools cost 0.0. But the books cost an extra 0 and lunch will set you back another 0. After a while it adds up .

We pay about $6k per kid in grades 6&8 in Lafayette. Next year my son will be at STM and I think it’s about $7k.

I never thought I’d be paying to send kids to school, but hopefully the results will be worth it and they’ll take care of their old broke dad.

This is where having multiple kids is a beat down financially...

One kid for 6-15k is bearable but 3 kids at the same rates gets outrageous.

I hope that 15k is total and not per child..

Dallas private schools are 20-30k which makes me

Here is Hockaday which is a premier, all girls school. Starts at $25K for pre-k and goes up to $30K by senior year.

Agreed. I have one kid in private school for 10.5k. If I had another we'd be moving. Hopefully not at 40. I'm too old to start over.

I'm pretty sure there aren't many that are 4K in BR after the fees that go along with tuition. Most are closer to 5-6k.
