This is the most haunting post in this thread bc of its implications. We all keep telling ourselves it’s simply their “culture” and not the race. Bc if it’s just “culture” then it could be fixed by having fathers in the homes etc.
But deep down many people are doubting this theory. “Culture” is not some external force pressed upon them—it is them. It’s what they themselves created. And why did they create it, and why do they cling to it harder than ever, despite decades of programs and money and outreach and opportunities? Well, that’s the question nobody wants to answer aloud.
