Tax free and fees are capped at 33% up to the first million pre-litigation and it graduates down at each million dollar increment.

$0 for my child. $1 billion for any person killed by a gator on their property for 25 years.
I'd have to adopt some Russian kid or something

I have not and will not ever go to Disney.

I absolutely loathe theme parks and do not want to be in a crowd of the type of people that frequent them.

I'm also never paying that much money to go to landlocked Orlando, FL. I will take my kids to Europe or something.

It only took 2 pages for this. Nice work.

This. They didn't have to sue.

I don't care other people go

Good for them. Someone just said something about people giving them crazy looks because they had never been to Disney and I responded to it.

It looks like they are setting up a foundation in the boy's name instead of suing. I would bet the farm that Disney will be bankrolling said foundation.

Seems like the parents would still need to sign a legal document stating they would not sue if a settlement was reached. If that were me, I would want a professional to at least review it.

I went to Disney in 7th grade with a guy in our class and his family. Never again. It's a soulless money pit. My kids will also be going to Europe instead and it'll cost me less.

I'm going out on a limb and saying it was probably $10 mil or more. I'm thinking Disney offered them can't say no type of money to move past this. I'm not sure 5,6,7,8 mil is can't say no? Something about $10 mil seems solid.

My only question is if you get sued it can be partially converted by liability insurance right? But if you offer a settlement it is not?

If you lost your child and got 1 billion dollars ,what would you do with it ?, or 100 billion.... the thought of that makes me sick. Not saying that they shouldn't get paid ( that's all that can be done), but it would be more bitter than sweet for me.
