I've done Disney staying in condos on site, eating multiple times a day with cash at sit-down restaurants and never spent this much. Are you retarded?

Not at all. Both of those trips we planned to the "T." We picked a week with the lowest crowds of the year, planned our days around crowds, picked restaurants that would minimize transportation time, chose a resort that offered the easiest transportation (not letting money get in the way of convenience)...months of research and planning. At the end of the day it was a vacation mostly spent waiting in lines and putting up with fatties with fanny packs. No thanks.

If you planned for months and waited in a single line then you suck at planning.

-Polynesian theme park view x 7 nights: over $600 per night
-limo service
-2 sit down meals per day plus some character breakfasts
-7 day park tickets x 3
-kids souvies and snacks (daily)
-adult beverages
-flights x 3, tips, etc

It's not hard to reach 8 grand

You can literally do this with any vacation on the planet. You could run up a $10K bill in Biloxi.

My point was not the cost. My point was that for all of this planning and shite all you get is a week in a concrete jungle waiting in lines for kiddy rides and dealing with minivan people.

For the record we don't do cruises either.

$4200 on the hotel?!

Yep. Dumb.

If you're doing a "sit-down" for lunch, you are doing it so wrong.

7 day park tickets x 3
So $1200ish.

Okay

Okay

From where? Round trip from MSY can be anywhere from $200-$400 per person.

With your numbers, it looks like you have about $1400 split between food and souvenirs. $200 per day.

Yes. You did try hard to get to $8k.

Well, this wouldn't have happened if you had planned better. Sit-down breakfasts and lunches mean you're missing the rides while the lines are short.

Depends on where you go and who you go through. First time we went through a travel agency-wife handled it all-and it was $6600 staying at Art of Animation. Thanksgiving week, flights, meal plan.

I put together the last 2 stays and it it was $2200ish both times.

He was doing it himself. All that work and he paid 8k to sit down and eat 4-5 hours a day... That's his own fault.

Disney is much more fun without kids under the age of 12.

It's a lot more work with younger kids

Agreed. On top of that, I have not waited more than 20 minutes for any ride in the last 10 years. People like to throw around the "all we did was wait in line" BS when they have no imagination. Do with your money as you will but some folk will find unhappines wherever they go.

Just say "I'm a miserable human being" and be done with it. With all the shite in this world, Disney is the last thing to be complaining about.

Why? All the money in the world wouldn't bring back your child.

Actually most lawyers said the case would be hard to win

Winning a case isn't the same as a smart business move. Spending money on attorney's fees and taking a PR beating outweighs whatever money they had to pay this family.

this. Disney reminded them at if you sue 1) we can drag this out forever, and 2) the lawyer WILL TAKE 50%.

Not at all. I just prefer my vacations to look like this. Enjoy carousel of progress though.
