Parents begging for money for kids to play travel ball

My kid is a toddler, but can someone explain the crowd of obnoxious parents (most with the "may I speak to the manager" haircut) who set up shop outside the doors of Sams, Target, wherever, and accost people for money so their 8 year old can go play coach pitch in Florida? Someone please shed some light on the thought process here. What is the lesson to the child? How is this not just begging people to subsidize your WT vacation to Disney? Why doesn't your kid just play ball here since you are begging for money on the sidewalk?

Because way too many people think their kid is going to pitch in the college World Series, so they’re preparing them for that day

If the kids are actively doing something, carwash, bake sale, etc. then it doesn’t bother me. Teaches them to work for something they want.
If they’re just shaking a boot at the redlight or asking for donations in front of a store then I usually pass them by.

Because little Jayce and Brayden are going to make it to the big leagues!
Also, little Kayleigh Leigh is gonna be a professional dancer/fast pitch softball player.

Travel ball parents are one the most cringeworthy segments of our population

Cause the liberals teach us that you should be able to have whatever you want and someone else should have to pay for it. And if that other person doesn't or wont pay for it then they are racists, and they should lose their jobs.
Basically.

Still the worst for me was seeing a bunch of travel ballers begging for cash at an intersection on 30-A a few years ago. Not to mention they were half blocking the road causing traffic issues.
frick you that I will pay for your "World Series"/ vacation at the beach.

Theres an intersection close by my house that a travel basketball team does this at least two days a week during afternoon rush hour. I refuse to give panhandlers money. If they did a bake sale or car wash fundraiser, I’d stop and throw them a few bucks

It’s the in person equivalent of a trashy go fund me..
So other people can pay for a week in Orange Beach as they play ball/vacation

It cost money, but the kids need to face the best!!! Gotta go play coaches pitch in Atlanta or Orlando to see if the kids have it.

I’d rather those parents than the parents that use little league as a day care and the coach as a babysitter...or the parents that don’t give a shite about their kids to go through the effort of organized sports...or the parents that don’t even raise/acknowledge their kids.

Little Junior is the next Bryce Harper. How will he get a scholarship or be the #1 overall pick if he can't go play in X tournament at 8 years old?

Sorry that OP kid got cut from team. He is just pissed that he doesn't get to hang around single mom's with big tits next baseball season.

I don’t know, but I think people are raising some seriously spoiled children’s who are going to be ill equipped to adjusting to the real world. The ones before them already are.
