It’s incredibly salty

Papa John's sucks. I think they survived solely on the novelty of the garlic dipping sauce

Hunt Brother's gas station pizza is pretty great if you get it made right.
Thin crust with all the toppings and cheese on top for $10 ain't bad at all
I came here to post this. It’s actually very good. We had an Exxon station up the road from our house when the kids were young. They would eat it five nights a week if I let them.

Of all the terrible things the US public eats, garlic fake butter isn’t in the top 700 lol

I don't even see Papa John's advertising anymore, not at the level of when Papa John was actually involved. I'm not shocked they're closing stores.

Domino’s pulled the comeback of the century with their app/speed. They dominate that competition.

Last couple of times Ive ordered PJ's in different cities, they were both delivered by doordash and cold as a rock by the time it got to me. Gonna be a while before I give them my business again.

frick corporate Papa John's for what they did to the guy who built the fricking company. Then they hire an Apoo to ruin it all.

Someone brought leftover Little Caesar’s to work and offered me a slice. I’d order it before Papa John’s, wasn’t bad at all for cheap fast food pizza. The Papa John’s in Picayune is in a gas station and is pretty solid and consistent. Metairie, I don’t order, never know how it will turn out. Local is what we order. Prefer the quality.

My first job was at Papa John's here in Lexington. They had recently expanded from their Louisville origins to Lexington. 1999.
The ingredients we used then v what you get when you order now are completely different. Crust isnt the same. Its just a poor product these days. It was still my favorite chain pizza after I quit working there after high school. Somewhere along the way they choose to sell out and use cheaper ingredients and the pizza is dogshit now.
People have more options now than ever before. Reality is what PJs et al want to charge for a chain pizza, you can get at a better place and be in the ballpark $ wise in most locales these days. Why would I waste my money?

They have a really good pizza.

Yep. Hunt brothers is far better than any of the big chain pizza places. A lot of people don't know that you can order a whole pizza with unlimited toppings for $10. Also, best value is the Costco pizza. It's friggin huge and taste decent and I think it's also $10 (maybe $12).

It feels weird to say, but Dominos has been the best of the big 3 for years now, and they used to be the worst.
At one point Dominos really tasted like the box it came in, but I had it awhile back for the first time in years and it was actually pretty good.

The one on Congress in Lafayette would always serve such greasy pizzas that they were barely edible.

Agreed. It's way better than Papa John's or Pizza Hut to me these days.

I can promise you it is more likely doordash's fault. I love my delivery business but I know people do not get great quality. I can have the food cooked in fifteen minutes. How long you wait for a washer is another story

I like their pan pizza. Used to like Pizza Hut's, but they got so terrible and greasy.
