Marriage was the beginning of sex for us. Yep. Waited until wedding night. I know it's old school. But it has paid off...still great sex over 20 years later.
I think the married people with the happiest sex lives are probably the people that had the fewest partners prior to marriage, because they don't know any better.
That's not an insult, it's probably a good thing.
People with more sexual partners are more likely to long for that one person that rocked their world in the sack compared to the person they married.

Since 1984 and unless you experience the journey with the right wife, you can’t understand.
And the old saw about putting the quarters in the jar the first year of marriage: that’s bullshite for us.
We would have put a bunch in the first year and pulled that amount out at least 30 times over the years since then.

Every married guy I know says the following:
After a year or two of marriage, the frequency of sex plummets.
After she has a baby, her libido crashes for a year or so.
When she hits menopause at 40ish that sex is all but over.
That it's not all her fault, but due to menopause their libido becomes non-existent and that due to physical changes it can be painful for them etc.
They say that marriage is pretty much the end of sex, to just know that going in.
Doesn't paint a very rosy picture.
Is this all true ?
Yes pretty much..

1. Marriage with no kids - plenty sex
2. Marriage with kids - very little sex
3. Kids out of house- can go either way depending on if marriage is still strong and if the couple are in good health and took care of themselves or are fat and unattractive, or simply bored with each other
I’ve know menopausal women to be sex fiends or uninterested. It varies

I’ve been married for 29 years. It is as awesome as it always was and probably better because we know each other so well.

More or less, true.
The main thing is if you're both attracted to each other after youth fades. If not, you'll never be happy.

Is it a bad thing for a man to get married?
Posted on 7/26/23 at 6:20 pm to LeeVanCleef

Getting married leads to more, and if you’re lucky your never have kids and never stop. From what I’m told kids are the end of it
Posted on 7/26/23 at 6:21 pm to LeeVanCleef
Not marriage. Kids.
But have no fear... even though you think you're a stallion now, your own libido will eventually level off at some point.

It was the end of sex for me but not her. She was fricking half of Birmingham.

It’s a sad reality your assessment has proven true in my case as well

People who are satisfied don't disrespect their wives by talking about their personal lives.
So you have a flawed sample of people who are unhappy dominating the conversation. The bottom line is that sex might decrease but it can also increase. And in a long standing relationship you might have some months or years of intensity and likewise it can slow down.
The key is both agree with the frequency and quality. And you keep it between yourselves. Dudes who talk about their sex lives are usually lying from the jump.
