quote:quote:. You show up every few pages to say why marriage sex has to suck and seem to have little desire for an alternative view. Live your life of one-night stands, more power to you. But if you are having so much fun why are you so concerned with the sex life of married men?
What is funny is that you asked a question and seem to have little desire to engage with the answers
Lighten up Francis.
I asked questions.
I read answers.
That was the point of me asking the questions, to receive and read the answers.
There are a couple of hundred responses, am I supposed to respond to all of them?

I'll be impressed when this is done on a fairly regular basis and you're posting your move well before they happen. Congrats on this hit.
huh?
I posted yesterday that I shorted MSFT,DOW index, QQQ Index and was holding them.
Said I was betting that Dow would snap its winning streak today.

Market has been screaming higher and we have 2 of the 3 worst months for the market coming up back to back.
And down we go.
Buckle up for Aug/Sep/Oct

Shorted MSFT & Nasdaq yesterday before the close.
Shorted DOW Index today when it was up, caught the top(or bottom how ever you want to look at it).
Going to let them ride.
Still up on all of them.
Gambling that DOW will snap 13 game winning streak tomorrow.
Man, I'm having a day !
I love it when a plan comes together,
3X Dow Jones short up big,
MSFD Microsoft short up big
Even my 3X Nasdaq short is now green and up nicely.
Muh, you can't time the market

Warren Buffett has 130 billion in cash.
I guess he's just a moron market timer who should be fully invested at all times.
geesh.

Dang, Larry Bird didn't make the cut in Boston, and probably legit if you insist on having a hockey player in there.

How are all your shorts doing today? I'm seeing a lot of green on the board.
I'm still up on my MSFT & Dow Index shorts.
Down on my Nasdaq short.
Up overall.

It's Pittsburgh mount rushmore.
Pittsburgh is closer to Cleveland than it is to PSU.

Yeah, me too. People wonder why I cycle in and out of bonds as the market goes up and down. It's so I have buying power when the market is doing poorly.
exactly.
There is a difference between "timing the market" & having enough sense to lock in some big gains and have powder dry for better opportunities.
Warren Buffet and Berkshire have a cash hoard of over 100 billion dollars.
According to most on this board that means that Warren Buffet is an idiot for not being fully invested at all times.
re: Per CNBC: If Dow Jones finishes green today it will tie longest streak since 1897.
Posted by LeeVanCleef on 7/27/23 at 7:49 am to Shepherd88
wrong.
Yesterday was the longest string since 1987.
Yesterday tied 1987.
The Dow finished up 14 straight days in 1897.
If it finishes green today it will tie the 1987 record.

Anyone who jumped into the market in 2008 did very, very well.
I like how you ignore the fact that in 2008/2009 crash that the market was rolled back 16 years.
People that just bought and held were no better off in 2009 than they were 16 years earlier.
In 2000 tech crash the nasdaq dropped 70 percent.
in 1982 the DOW was at the same level as 1964.
Holding, let alone going long, when the market is at all time highs usually offers high risk, with minimal reward.
Fortunes are made by having cash on hand and buying market crashes.
1987, 2000/2001, 2009, 2019.
I sold everything in Jan 2019 when covid was just starting, because the market was at all time highs and I knew that if Covid was declared a pandemic that the market would crash.
People thought I was nuts.
A few months later when the Dow was down 10,000 they didn't think so.
Got back in and made a killing.
That's how you make real money.

The best sex was when everything was new at the beginning and the dating phase.
I don't see how decades of "married sex" with the same woman wouldn't be boring and monotonous.
How can you have hot/passionate sex with a woman that you've already had sex with 10,000 times ?
Even if you're still having sex in marriage it's just going through the motions, it can't be exciting.
Would be like eating the same meal every night for the rest of your life and getting excited about it.
Per CNBC: If Dow Jones finishes green today it will tie longest streak since 1897.

The Dow Jones Index was created in 1896.
