This is ridiculous. Do you have even a smidgen of evidence to show this? Some of you are idiots in this thread.
DRs and the manufacturers recommend staying on the semiglutides forever, not just stop when you lose 20 pounds. Nearly all immediately begin gaining the weight back.
Hence the recommendation to stay on forever.
No one knows what will happen long term, like years on these drugs. That's a fact.
And if they screw people's digestive systems permanently, the drug makers don't care, they've made their billions.
But the people damaged will still be fat and stuck changing their colostomy bags.
It's risk reward, like everything. If you're 450 pounds and dying....take the shots to save your life and take the risk of serious long term problems. Want to lose 30 pounds because you let yourself go and refuse to change?
Good luck.

So this is the “wrong way”?

Using a drug that was made to help treat diabetes and just so happens to also curb appetite to lose weight is not the “right way”. Also the weight that is lost is a higher ratio of muscle to fat. That’s why you can all ways tell that someone who has dropped several pounds using it by the way their skin is hanging from their face and arms. Also where the term “ozempic butt” came from

It didn’t do that to me.

Before all the crazy comments, I know of 3 people that used it, dropped a ton of weight, and also changed their lifestyle completely. They are now fitness fanatics
Easy to do when you havent worked out your entire life.
Eta: 20 years in the service and i got banged up knees and 3 slipped discs. Everything is uncomfortable and I can't even run a 5k anymore.

participants lost 13.1% of their weight after 12 weeks
That's about 33 lbs for a 250 lb person. Significant but I wouldn't call it a miracle cure.
That is almost 3 pounds a week. Fat old me is around 250. I may ask my doc about Ozempic,
I'm also 62 so it's gotten a little harder for me to drop weight now, I am not as active as I used to be. (yeah, I'm a fat slob, I know)

The one that I'm referencing on the 120lbs of losses has two herniated lower back discs, one bulging, and actually lost the feeling in his legs and had to have an emergency discectomy. He spent about 3 rounds of enlistment in the Army as well.
Trust me, he's no stranger to the pain, or the hard work it involved to lose that much weight.
The 85lb loss friend wasn't a disgusting fat body, but he wasn't really into fitness at all. He's now doing an IM in a few months.

I know all the OT’ers have 9% body fat and don’t need any help with diet, but the truth is, these drugs are here to stay, and will 100% change the obesity situation in America.

Im all for it, with your own fricking money.

The Ozempic craze is continuing to cascade across America — and local governments are worried taxpayers can't afford to fund it much longer.
Over the past year, demand for weight-loss drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy, and similar types of medications known as GLP-1s have surged as Americans fawned over the drugs' quick results to shed some pounds.
At a cost of sometimes over $1,000 a month, some people are not paying for these drugs out of pocket.

The title is misleading. Tesla has plummeted beneath Novo as much as Novo has surged past. Tesla has lost about 300 billion in market cap this year.
