Knife, assisted opening

Excellent for close work, and they aren't looking for it from a woman.

Truly, one of the best defense mechanisms that she can have is to follow her gut. She should never worry about hurting a guy’s feelings by telling him she’s uncomfortable around him or doesn’t want to go somewhere secluded with him. “frick his feelings” is a good motto. Women have evolved to sniff out creepy men, but too often women are afraid to hurt a guy’s feelings. frick his feelings. She’s the one taking a chance with her safety, not him. I know that a LOT of women my age were affected by this scene in Silence of the Lambs. Her intuition is to not help the guy, but she feels guilty and does it anyway. Next thing she knows she’s in a pit rubbing lotion on her skin. Watch this movie together with her. When it ends, talk to her about how to not get thrown in pits. When it comes to her safety, frick HIS FEELINGS. LINK

A really good tactical flashlight with a strobe and momentary tail switch so you can carry it your hand and easily bump it on off with your thumb.

At least 1000 to 1500 lumens

As bad as I hate to say it, if attacked, they should grab his nuts and crack them like pecans then while he’s writhing in pain, kick him in the nose as hard as she can. That would be a good start. Improvise after that.

Keys to their house in a high income neighborhood that they don’t go more than a couple miles away from except when inside a locked vehicle

A heightened sense of awareness. This applies to most of us, male and female alike. I watch people a lot as a hobby and it is unreal how many people in public are completely unaware of their surroundings. Talking or staring at their phones, eyes pointing straight ahead or toward their feet...most of us go through life seemingly thinking that there is no danger at all in the world and bad shite only happens to other people. Watch people at a cross walk....its really shocking how unaware people are out in public.

Self defense device? I’ll give you 3. Common sense, situational awareness, and stereotyping.

In a physical attack, you may only have 1-2 seconds to react.
Many attacks are going to happen in a blink of the eye.
A thug or perv is going to use a cowardly sneak attack.

You may not have the time to access your weapon.

A thumb to the eye will send even the biggest thug running away in gut-wrenching pan.

Breaking a finger, the pinkie if possible, will send a perv screaming away in a milli-second.

A hard kick to the knee, will take out an ACL or MCL.

A hard stomp to the foot with your heel will crush the bones in a hoodlums foot.

A hammer fist to the ear is painful. A fist to the bridge of the nose. A throat punch. A bite to anywhere.

A chair, any object nearby you can grab in an attack, an ink pen, a paper clip, a key... to the eye, ear or nose.

Screaming at the top of your lungs and calling for help will alert those nearby and possibly send the creep running away.

We are not talking about a school yard fight or drunken scuffle where we get up & shake hands and everything is now hunky-dory, we are talking about survival.

The military trains to win. There is no such thing as a 'fair fight' when it comes to a criminal attack.

You don't fight fair, you fight to win/survive.
