I find myself less worked up about stuff. Maybe a bit more patient in life. More family focused also.

Quit drinking, starting eating a little better and working out more.. Trying to do like the old song from the 80s, ‘Holding Back the Years’... So far so good, i like a challenge- so it’s kinda nice doing positive stuff instead of sabotaging myself like i did in my 20s and 30s with fast food, alcohol etc.

I’m still just as mad as always.
No change.

”Mad” as in angry or crazy or both?

I find the phrase, "Life begins at 40" to be true. By that age you've learned about every mistake on the list and recognize trouble long before it arrives. You also finally know what you want in life and more importantly, what you don't want. It's a great decade.

I don't care what other people think about me much anymore.

Adam Sandler had a bit about that. The gyst of it was:
When I was a teenager, I was always angry: f$&k my parents, f$&k my teachers, f$&k school
Then I was in my 20’s like: f$&k college, f$&k my job, f$&k my landlord, f$&k this bar
Then I was still angry in my 30’s like: f$&k the politicians, f$&k society, f$&k my boss, f$&k taxes
Then I turned 40 and was like: I’m hungry...I wonder what we have in the fridge...?

This.

Plus I don’t like sports as much as I used to for some weird reason. I used to be a die hard football fan and followed recruiting. Try to make an away game every year and now I don’t care as much at all. Same with NFL, MLB and NBA.

Anyone else kind of less interested in sports as you’ve become older?

I'm still a diehard LSU and Saints fan. I definitely don't follow the rest of the NFL, NBA, MLB at all, but I did when I was younger.

I’d say i’d count myself in that number.. i mean, i still love my Tigers and Saints.. still have season tickets for both and plan on keeping them forever.. but i dont live and die with my sports teams anymore... Part of it may be that I’ve seen both win NFL/NCAA titles in my lifetime, or getting older so have just mellowed out, especially in re to things i cant control, like the effort my sports teams give on the field.

Same here. I still watch but not as much as before. Usually just the big games rather than watching all weekend. I'm also not emotionally invested like I used to be.
