What do yall do when it’s time to service the watch in this price range? The service cost about as much or more than the watch. I have a Hamilton khaki king that’s at -60 sec/day

Really disagree with this. Dropped $2k on a Hamilton Intramatic Automatic Chronograph un July and seriously considering ordering a YEMA Superman Bronze for $2k.
Theres no single watch that would cover my use cases for both of those.
Maybe if you just want a GADA watch. Which is fine. But I wear watches as much as a part of my wardrobe as a time piece. I have 5 watches currently, wear 3 very regularly (Hamilton Chrono Panda, AV86 chronodate with dark green dial, Vaer field), 1 with limited use (gold citizen perpetual calendar) and 1 is a tank dress watch for black tie events that only comes out 1-2x a year. I would not be near as satisfied with 1 watch with a value equivalent to all of those combined.

I assume you figured it out. It was a line of watches made by Seiko from 1961 to 1975 and revived in 2022. They sit above Presage and below Grand Seiko and Credor.

I prefer the Dirty Dozen to the A-11 (Bulova makes a more modern sized 37mm reissue). I always planned to put together a collection of the Dirty Dozen. Back in the day I could have done it for around $10k, today it is more like $50k, with the Grana alone setting you back $12-13k when you finally find one.
