I read Path to Power years ago. That slog covered most of my interest in the rise of LBJ so I never got around to the rest.

Also read A Texan Looks at Lyndon, as mentioned. I'm happy to see that title is still widely available.

LBJ made Clinton look like a saint. He made “The Treatment” famous. He was a large man and used that to his advantage. He’d violate personal space and hover over people in order to intimidate. If that didn’t work, he’d make sure to expose his hog leg of a dick while in the mens room to assert dominance.

I’d do the same thing. He talked big AND carried a big stick….so they say.

Ive got kin that married into the LBJ business circle , when the Grandfather ( the one that worked for KLBJ died) he had the books , they were given to me since the thought Id be interested
