How did the War on Drugs seal the fate of many poor black families? Frank Lucas flooding poor, mostly black, areas of the country with illegal drugs did more harm to blacks than Nixon's War on Drugs.

I remember hearing Buddy Roemer talk about LBJ running against Barry Goldwater. When buddy told people he k=knew that like Goldwater's platform better and was thinking about voting for him, he was told "If you vote for Goldwater, we'll be in a war in Vietnam within 6 months". His Great Society has proven to be a colossal failure, escalation in Vietnam was disastrous but I'm not seeing where he endangered the liberty of this nation.....unless you object to the VRA or the CRA. Which Republicans helped him get passed....so if you object to that.

Not at all. Mass incarceration of drug crimes added to the dysfunction. People can get over addiction, but that prison sentence lasts forever.
The drug war created millions of criminals. Americans love their drugs.

Possibly. Though it did clean up the associated violence somewhat.
Regulation leads to more regulation, and it usually benefits the State, not the population. Gotta let people die by their own choices.
