Dating someone who let's their parents, specifically the father, control them is not something to deal with. His ability to force her to break up with you is for the best. They have their own secrets and she for some reason will always want to be daddy's little girl. Needing his approval for everything. No matter what she tells you.

When she goes home to visit her parents, does she happen to sleep in the same bed as her parents? To hell with that. She is way closer to her Dad than she should be....at 22. Be glad and move on.

Wow this whole thread is eerily similar to one I started about a girl I broke up with 6ish months ago.
She was incredibly obsessed with her parents, their approval of everything in her life, stayed in 24/7 contact, shared locations on their phones together, I could go on forever. It was insane.
I’m talking her dad would drive 2 hours to Baton Rouge to “go to the mall” or “for lunch” or just to come see her, 3-5 times a week. And yes the man had a full time job.
He wasn’t even an OT-Baller, so their family dynamic was flat out weird.
I wouldn’t be surprised if her and her father kissed on the lips behind closed doors. He prolly slipped her some tongue
