Here's my advice, but I'm not a professional:
1. She broke up with you. Dad didn't make her do it. She used him as the excuse, but make no mistake... She decided not to be with you anymore. The "dad excuse" was just to soften the blow.
2. You should immediately activate a Facebook account and post this garbage to that, instead of asking the OT for relationship advice. Facebook would be better suited to assist you with your love life. Most importantly, in order not to get conflicting direction, ONLY post this inquiry to Facebook. Never again here.
3. Hit the gym.
4. Lawyer up.

I won't tell my daughter who to date when the time comes but if she ever brings home some guy in a flat billed hat or saggy pants I'll just make fun of him so much that he won't want to come back
