i'd only touch the synthetic hormones if you are in desperate health. the studies on long term effects of hormone supplements are horrifying.

Injection is the only way to go.

It's not just about looking good, Low T can cause depression and if you've ever had depression issues from Low T, you'd take it, I promise you.

To my recollection, there isn't an oral testosterone FDA approved only methyltestosterone
i've seen that medication at exactly 1 pharmacy in my entire 10+ year career as a pharmacist that has include 4 national chains, 6 or 7 independents, an infusion pharmacy, and a clinical care pharmacy...
and oxandrolone is probably the safer option via oral route, and it's not really used to treat low T at normal dosing guidelines, but at higher dosages, it absolutely can... but the liver toxicity possibility obviously increases as well... which is more what i was trying to say... in regards to significantly raising T levels (which can be done), you'd have to get a pretty substantial dose of ox, and by then the risk outweighs the potential benefit...
hell, i'd just go with a SERM or aromatase inhibitor and try to naturally increase my testosterone with diet and exercise if i wanted that "extra"... but even then, i'm not sure how much Free T you'd end up having.... at some point, to Cork's point, you have to accept the fact that you ain't gonna be producing as much as you used to...
or just go with HGH, if you can afford it...

SERM or aromatase inhibitor I will look into these
HGH seems like a short term only, for healing injury, right?
I remember reading a study that showed that using steroid for a week with a training regime can put on 10 lbs of muscle, with no emotional baggage if you just use it once every couple of months.

If you are predisposed to prostate cancer, testosterone
supplements are like pouring gas on a fire.

please don't ask your physician about this... they are used for breast cancer, damn near exclusively...

HGH, for the most part, is the safer option, even long term... HGH is very good for keeping you looking and feeling younger for longer... but it ain't cheap, by any stretch...
quote:there's a LOT that goes into steroid cycling... as far as it's illicit use and how to rebound your natural T production and stuff, i'm not an expert...

Test can be a very good drug, don't get me wrong, but it has to be done properly, under a physician's care... typically, those that get it black market start self-adjusting doses and that's when you see people blow out their livers and shite...

Aromatase inhibitors will prevent the conversion of androgen to estrogen, but it isn't an effective long-term solution. Estrogen is required in men for things like maintaining bone mineral density. SARMs are being investigated for things like maintaining/increasing muscle mass, but they are still in various stages of clinical testing.

All of the drugs in the class were originally derived from the stilbene scaffold of diethylstilbestrol (clomid, tamoxifen, raloxifene). I bet that a good number of your patients receiving evista aren't taking it as part of a female-specific cancer regimen. It has become quite common to use it prophylactically in women who are high risk for developing breast cancer and to help maintain bone density.

I'm 56. Take 1cc in the butt injected once every 2 weeks. Taking a testosterone supplement is needed if you have low T. Read up on the effects of low testosterone.

What's worse than cancer?

See if you can get a compounded cream. Better than andro gel and safer.

Ask your Doc for an oil-based injectable Testosterone and learn how to inject your glutes.

I'm on a supplement because of low bone density in hips. I'm in my late 50's.
I tried the liquid stuff under the arm (axiron) for a couple of months. It was messy (liquid that you put on your pits first thing in the morning). It didn't work.
Been on patch (androderm) for a while. T level went from around 300 to 617 in a month. So far so good. Just don't like having to put a new patch on every night. Really pricey if you don't have good insurance too.
Good luck!
