I’ve been perusing the social media and time and time again this has been popping up as an easy routine to help prevent you from getting the Rona or at least not get it too bad. These supplements are pretty cheap so really not a big financial commitment but is this really something to get behind?

I for one will remain self quarantined and #MaskedUp until a vaccine is available. I’m doing my part.

Taking a multivitamin or supplement or two if your levels are low isn’t a terrible idea, but a lot of people take unnecessary, huge amounts that are wasted.

There are some legit medical folks here. There are severely outnumbered yahoos, trolls, and amateur comedians but they are here

People have been saying Vitamin D and Zinc since March but since the Kung Flu death rate is 0.02% who gives a shite.

If you are male you should probably take vitamin D and Zinc anyway. Gotta be careful with the dosages of both though.

Eating healthy and exercising will do more than supplements ever will.

My wife and I are both in healthcare. She’s closer to the studies of it from a pharmaceutical standpoint, and has been making us take all 3 of those vitamins since the beginning. We both have/had been exposed to it fairly often at work. I’m not saying it works, but for the amount we’ve been around it, we haven’t had it.... at least that we know of. Most of my immediate family has had Covid at some point except for those of us who are taking vitamins.

Yes.
That’s what you do.

Space them out.

Liposomal Vitamin C is better than ascorbic because it is absorbed at over 90%. Ascorbic vitamin C is absorbed at about 20%.

You need 4-6 grams absorbed per day to maximize the protection.

Vitamin E maybe 8000-10,000 IU. That just 4 or 5 of the little liquid capsules. It’s fat soluble so take with food that has some fat in it (a few grams) or you lose 25%-35% of the effectiveness.

Really sad that you would suggest this when it is known that vitamins can literally kill people of color

I have the China flu right now. Been taking those supplements since March. I definitely seem to have a mild case, not sure if it is related. Also I’m 30, work our regularly and in good health.

My symptoms have been head congestion, nausea, loss of taste/smell and mild body aches (body aches only lasted a couple of days)

I've been taking Vit D for 8 years 1000 to 2000 units a day and haven't been sick since ( cold and flu) I have no idea if this is related.

Wife had a mild course of the virus. Very healthy and mindful of person. Takes supplements. Was placed on antibiotic and two steroid injections. Ran its course in 4/5 days.

Her husband is anything but healthy. Course was severe. High blood pressure and flirting with diabetes. Spent 7 days hospitalized - 2 in ICU - plasma infusion was the key, imv. Am now home, slowly recovering with use of oxygen.

The blessings, wife is doing great. Virus may have called attention to chronic, fairly minimal lung malady.

Am grateful to be alive

Anecdotal Evidence: Been taking large doses of vitamin D (I was vitamin D deficient) and a multivitamin high in zinc and vitamin C before COVID-19 and I haven’t got it. So...it must work!
