English Lit and Chemistry partly because I did not decide what I wanted to be when I grew up until I was a month or so out from having to choose which grad school to go to.
IMO I think a good liberal arts education or interdisciplinary study based on a liberal arts education is the best for going into law school. The diverse study of English, foreign language, math, science, religion, fine arts, history, poli-sci, economics, etc gives a strong base for practicing law. Almost everyone starts their 1L classes with next to no subject matter knowledge so a wider breadth of subjects in undergrad is no hindrance and pays dividends in the long run.

Education. Wanted a practical degree, could coach baseball, and hunt during Christmas breaks if law school didn’t work out. Emphasis in secondary education (8th through 12th history/economics/etc.).

Engineering . . . law school was three years of fun compared to the previous four and my grades reflected as much

Then go be a lawyer.
I am a lawyer. It was just something that I was not expecting when I went to law school. I did not expect the degree to be seen as anything other than additional useful skills.

I got my degree in political communication and gamed the system to inflate my GPA. Then I got into a top 10 law school but freaked out at the debt and went a totally different path.
I don’t regret where I ended up, but if I did it all over again, I might have stuck with law school but gone to a 30ish ranked school on a full ride. I was a total prestige whore back then though and wanted people to be impressed. My values were off, nobody gave two shits.

Poli Sci. When I was at Auburn there were a lot of very solid law classes for undergrads (within Poli Sci) though, and some obscure ones too. Like Federal Indian Law.
