I think this story ends with you getting shot for coming at the cop with something shiny in your hands.

BAC is at its highest 30-45 min after consuming alcohol. Breathalyzers measure how much alcohol you had in your system at a prior time. They make you put the bottle down, wait 20 min, then take your BAC. Having just drank a few shots will not change the BAC recorded....all that fresh alcohol is still in your gut, not yet absorbed into the blood stream. So no this won't solve your problem.
The obvious solution is to butt chug it in front of the officer. That way it is absorbed into your body faster. OP try this instead.

If you tell them you have a naturally high BAC they'll usually adjust it down a few points.

Not if you are white.

Grand isle. Trooper probably did not want to drive him back to Jefferson parish for booking.

a lawyer who happens to be a mob member up north tried this and it worked. he walked to a bar from the scene of the accident and told the bartender to line up shots for him. he said he was in a state of shock and a literal panic attack and had to calm his nerves.

I was the victim in a hit and run accident. Was going down a road when someone completely blew a stop sign on a crossroad and nailed my back end, sending me into a spin. Driver took off.
I'd had a few beers and was heading back to the hotel when I got hit. Realizing that calling the cops at the accident site would result in me likely snagging a DUI along with my wrecked car, I decided to somehow drive this wrecked car to the hotel which was about a mile away. There's a bar in the lobby of the hotel.
Called the cops when I arrived back at the hotel and there was never any mention of drinking or a sobriety test. The cop did not believe me that it was a hit and run, said he'd never seen anyone drive a car in that condition away from the scene of an accident, and was trying to get me to change my story. All that and he never once accused me of drinking. Dude knew what was up but couldn't do a damn thing about it. He dispatched officers to where I told him the hit and run occurred and they found debris from another vehicle...I was off the hook.

Except charge you with leaving the scene, which you admitted to?

Pretty sure that charge is typically saved for the person who DOESN'T call and report an accident after hitting someone or something.

I get that it would be a dick move... but if there were doubts about the verity of the hit-and-run AND the officer suspected DUI but had no wheel witness, etc. I'd think there's a chance?

Always ask the guy you're selling the weed to if he's a cop. He's not allowed to lie, and if he does, the charges will be thrown out. Foolproof.
This is complete bullshite....everyone knows you have to ask 3 times, on the 3rd time he has to tell you.

At worst, the prosecutor argues that no reasonable person would start drinking after an accident when they know the cops are on their way and that you were just using it to cover up the fact that you were already drunk and you still get convicted.
Nah, at worst the cops will be pissed off at you trying to game them so they'll shoot you about 17 times and claim you had something in your hand they thought was a weapon.

Do people really dump a bottle of liquor down their arse? I’ve heard of plugging X or other pills but damn downing liquor that way seems a tad extreme.

If you are behind the wheel, you are considered to be in control of the vehicle, so you'd get a DWI as well as an open container.
If the keys are in the ignition, you are also in control of the vehicle.

This graph shows us that Mingo could drink 8 drinks and still be legally able to drive. The fat frick.

I call that self-medicating.
