Ok folks, I'm going to hold off on a summary. Most of what I believed is wrong.

This just took a HUGE left turn and has become 100 times more entertaining.

It may be a few days before I have more info but I assure you, it'll be worth it.

2007 yzf r6.

Unfortunately the bike isn't in the condition it appears to be in and needs some work. I saw some alligator clips holding spade connectors together. I saw a random black wire that didn't belong running somewhere and so on.

I'm going to go through the bike really good and see what all it needs. I've already ordered a new ignition switch for it.

First thought that crossed my mind.

They've roped themselves into federal charges and that won't end well. Feds don't play...

Are you keeping the bike? I know that’s what OP originally had said, just didn’t know if that was still the deal here. Wondering how things were/will be settled between you two.

Tl/Dr: boards awesome. Most posters rock. Salute to you, Chicken. frick Auburn.

Seen it, time and time again. Be it, helping others, or solving crimes, this site seems to do it all. It’s why I stayed (after joining, planning to only read ASTPB) and will continue to support this site for as long as it’s here and God willing. For as much garbage that is posted on this site, each day, there is someone doing/saying something that is helping another, anonymous, human being. This day’s? That’s incredible. This is not a huge community. That makes even more impressive.

Also, I have no link, at all, to LSU, nor the SEC, besides fandom. Only a kid influenced by a grandfather who thought Bear Bryant was as good, if not a better, leader of men then any authority figure in history.

“You want be respected, Champ? Study Mr. Bryant and study the way his teams go to battle every Saturday. Watch his teams practice, watch his teams play, listen to his players speak of him.
Give your all, even after “your all” is gone, find more. Do that, in every aspect of life, and you’ll end up, forever living, in a advantageous position in life.”

This is his “famous” quote (as complete and accurate as I/my two brothers can remember it) to my 2 brother and I, from the time we could comprehend, until he passed away in the late 90s.

I only point that out because I was born and raised in Upstate, NY. A town called Lake George. I was born in (“Hometown USA”) Glens Falls and lives there a few years as well. Ya see, college football (let alone high school football) has such low interest, you just don’t here about it, at all. I moved to Nashville at 17 (parents relocated for work) and the cultural shock was something else. I loved it! Especially, of course, the crazy football side of the SEC. p
Personally, when I sit back and think, it’s wild to me that the social media medium, I mostly monitor, is one that I am definitely in the 1% minority. I don’t think there are many folks here, that stick around, that are for the NE. I’m not counting the folks that got out of LA. I try to tell people about this site. shite, this site is worth having just for the breaking news part! News if here, much of the time, before the MSM even get a sniff!

Salute to you, Chicken. Great site! Salute to all of you that make this coward that only message board I’ve ever posted on.

frick you, Auburn! And thanks for being Auburn and bringing me onboard, via your university lack of intelligence.

I'm not "keeping" it per se. I will take ownership of the bike. On the way home I spoke to the OP and we chatted about that. I told him I didn't want to take advantage of anyone and he said the bike is mine and the entertainment value pays for it.

I know someone that is in need of a reliable vehicle. Im going to Baton Rouge today to purchase that.

I'm going to do the work to get the bike back in really good shape and the sale of the bike will "pay" for the car purchase today. The bike will require about $1000 dollars to get it right, assuming there is no engine damage.

So technically, neither of us are getting the bike but someone that needs it is getting reliable transportation.

I'm actually a really nice guy. I'm someone that legitimately enjoys being nice to people.

I've been taken advantage of so many times because I was nice, I've become adept at being a porcupine. If I'm handled improperly, regret will soon follow.

The OP is a really nice guy too. This has become vicariously personal in a way for me. At this point it's about the principle.

Also, I was a paratrooper and we don't lose very well. Once I commit, winning is a foregone conclusion because I'm not going to stop, ever. Folks can sense that and it tends to help. I tend to do everything with a smile on my face though.

Again, I enjoy being nice to folks.
