4Runner will live through a nuclear war.

Sounds like your friend really just needs a minivan. I recommend the Sienna.

4Runner

I only say Tahoe first bc if it’s size, we currently own a 4Runner.

CRV doesn’t seem like it fits in that bunch.

Tahoe is bigger and better than the 4-runner in every way. And it will last just as long as the 4-runner. Tahoe will be more roomy, tow more, and get the same gas mileage.
The GM 5.3 V8 LS motor will probably go down as the best engine ever assembled

Tahoe

4Runner

Xterra
CRV (depending on model. If CRV is the newer body style than Xterra would be last)

The only thing I don't like about my Tahoe is the middle bench. I should have went with the Yukon Denali instead with the captain chairs

You should have gone to English class.

ETA: On topic, I have a 4Runner and, like other posters have mentioned, if you need size, go with the Tahoe. The 4Runner is not spacious.

Those other 3 vehicles don’t even belong in the same discussion with the 4Runner.
