Most everything whether cheap or expensive, is manufactured in China.

Which is why we need the tariffs.

I didn't know we were china. Tariffs are on specified imports.

Orvis is what sucks I’m afraid.

They are closing stores bc they carry niche shite at premium price points. If ppl wanted it the stores would be doing fine.

Yeah, it was the tariffs, not the stale brand, lack of advertising, and products geared towards the elderly. It was those damned tariffs..

I never thought they sold cheap chinese crap.

I don't know how people can apparently be adults and not understand just how much shite, cheap or otherwise, in their lives comes from china.

Orvis variety has definitely been on the decline. I used to buy clothes here and there and i have fly gear from Orvis.

I think Orvis wanted to compete with other mountain frat type brands for younger customers but never successfully got their sizing right (fits like tents) and never embraced synthetics enough. Not as technical as Patagonia, not as cool as Filson, just as gaudy as Simms. And you had a bunch of small lifestyle brands pop up like Free Fly and such.

Full of demographics that don’t fit, and wouldn’t think of buying, the brand.
