CRIME BULLETIN 1/24/2022:
2022 YTD Homicides = 19
2022 YTD Shootings = 38
2022 YTD Carjacking = 43
2022 YTD Armed Robbery = 49

Metropolitican Crime Commission

Our Murder rate is off to a quite impressive start for 2022 in that we only had 8 at this time in 2021 and we now have 19 for 2022 which I believe would put us on a projected path of over 400 murders for 2022 if this trend continues or are my numbers off here?

Even more alarming is the decline in prosecution rate.

29% case refusal in 2019
50% case refusal in 2021

quote:

The rapid increase in felony case refusals from 2019-2020 to 2021 suggest that the declining case acceptance rate is due to new policies put
in place by the new D.A.’s administration rather than a change in the quality of NOPD investigations or victim and witness cooperation.

Assault and battery charges are at 54% refusal.

Drug Felony went from 11% refusal to 72% refusal.
Drug possession from 10% refusal to 80% refusal.

quote:

In the first eight months of the new DA’s administration, a two-thirds majority of felony cases closed by dismissal and only 17% resulted in
a felony conviction, which represents a 179% increase in the dismissal rate compared to 2020.

Maybe they need to switch to the Mayan calendar or something to make these numbers harder to track.

Hey, at least the percentage increase in carjackings has slowed a bit. Wasn't it over 1000% a week or so ago?

I lost my wallet in Kenner the other day and someone found it and turned it into the cops for me to pick up. Reason #7924 to get tf out of OP because that shite would never happen there

I wish there was a way to buy stock in crime. You buy shares and if crime goes up so does the stock and vice versa.

Everyone would be waiting for the weather to get bad for several days to buy because once it clears up.. Crime shoots up.

They’re not even averaging a murder per day. That’s not bad at all

Just yesterday, you were telling us voting Republican is horrible because it means everyone would have to live responsible lives with morals and values. You voted for and support this with Biden.

Averaging .82 murders per day. There are 365 days in a year. That’s just over 300 per year. Numbers are bad, but I think you have inflated projections unless you are taking into account an expected uptick for special occasions.

Have you tried to buy a used car lately.

I can honestly see how the increase in carjackings is necessary and alright in my humble opinion.

People need to get to work somehow. Babies don’t feed themselves.

***Sarcasm because some of y’all aren’t picking up on that ***
