Yeah sounds awful, but he thought a gunman was chasing him directly behind him. Who knows what you'd do in that situation? And 99% chance he was drunk as shite.
I'm sure he'll be racked with guilt and be suicidal for the rest of his life though.

I'm not sure it really crossed his mind what he did until the question was asked in the interview.

Ya i can't really judge him in that situation

Might be the most fricked up thing I've heard....20 people pushing to get out. He gets out and holds door shut despite banging and screaming from other people.

I guess it's similar to a person that is drowning and will then pull his rescuer under to prevent himself from drowning at all costs. The adrenal medulla will always control someone if they aren't trained in high stress situations like that. With that said, he is not without fault. We cant just act like he didn't hold that door shut and more than likely lead to many other people being killed due to his actions. He will live with guilt, as he should.

Really? He escapes out of a door and then blocks the door? Did he not think others would be doing the same? That is boneheaded at best, selfish at worst.
I won't judge him, but I will judge the hell out of his terrible decision that may have cost innocent people their lives.

And then you have to factor in him holding the door shut.

Must be pretty strong to hold back 20 people by himself
