re: Opinions on the Honda Ridgeline?

They look ugly and aren’t especially great at towing, but for 99% of what the average driver uses a truck for (that doesn’t use their truck for work), the Ridgeline is a cost effective, capable, reliable vehicle. It’s classic functionality over form.

Brother has one. Very nice vehicle.
They get bashed in here by all the insecure fricks that think an F250 somehow confirms their manhood.

Honda's are known for tranny problems.
The V6 tranny was problematic in earlier years, but was fixed with the 4-shaft version which started in 2007 I believe.
The VCM is crap and has caused problems for all year models and resulted in a poorly handled class action lawsuit. Delete it as the gas savings are so minimal it is not worth the serious repair bills down the road.

Probably would satisfy the needs of 95% of truck drivers but we don't want to be associated with Zima drinkers either.
This 100%. While there are certainly some people that need more than the payload and towing capacity the majority of people I know with P/Us rarely if ever have need for it.
The US is one of the countries where we really have been taught by marketing that our vehicle is an extension of our personality and we spend lots of money we don't really need to for that ability to express who we are via a billboard on the road. I am as guilty as anyone but I also respect someone who takes a more practical approach.

Solid vehicle. Ignore the haters who derive their manhood from driving a big truck they don't need.

LSUCoyote is all about them.

I just always thought they were fugly. Like a Chevy Avalanche fugly. But those pics of a new one aren't bad.
I'm sure being a Honda does make it extremely appealing. If I lived in the burbs and just occasionally needed a truck, it would be perfect and I wouldn't give a shite what anyone else thought. You know you're not gonna have issues with it.

Great vehicle, despite what you read on this board there is a reason why they hold their value so well.

Good vehicles but BETA looking.
They just don't look right with a set of bull nutz hanging off of the rear bumper.

I actually like the look of them.

I agree with this but if you can afford it why not drive something that you like? The first thing that attracts me to a particular vehicle is the look. Function is probably a close 2nd.

Another Honda Ridgeline bait post. Culling the herd…

I mean, I've heard people say they love theirs who are using them like you described. But man, that thing is ugly AF.

Truck for the woman that doesn’t want to drive a truck.
