The students at that school range from 18 to 40 years old. Don't ever remember seeing a child there

Maybe now they’ll finally move that blind school to a more remote area. Pretty asinine tbh to have a school for the blind next to train tracks and a pretty busy highway/roads.

this feels like bad planning.
Makes me wonder if it’s on purpose

Unless someone has spent time in Ruston and driven quite a bit downtown, they will never understand it. It’s really crazy that it hasn’t happened more.

For the past 25 years, nearly every director of the school for the deaf has been arrested for either sexual abuse or assault. The train tracks and the levy are the least of those students problems.

I don’t think those people who built the schools knew the administrators would be the biggest danger. But they knew the train tracks were there!!

A poor blind kid from our very own state is fighting for their life and posters think it’s the perfect time to make jokes

When I was a kid and we’d go to Ruston, I didn’t realize there was a school for the blind there. And I always thought “damn there’s a lot of blind people in this town”

Use to see them walk around everywhere, that would be an awful existence. I felt sorry for them and always wondered how that happened to them. Talking about unlucky.

Kinda wonder if this goes back to before the proliferation of vehicles where families and students would arrive to Ruston or Baton Rouge via train to drop their kids at the blind school and so it was close to the tracks on purpose?
