A shooting. On bourbon. At a fried chicken spot.
If you can tie a pit bull into this somehow you’ve got the OT’s wet dream for a story

And that's the key here? Interesting comments?

No the key is a poor woman lost her life walking down the street. And another blow to the tourism in New Orleans. Knowing the OT, the location will create comments.

That’s a terrible story.

Memo to new N.O. Police Chief:
1) DO NOT advertise the fact, on TV, that your officers seized 7 guns off Bourbon Street patrons in the last 2 days, and
2) DO NOT make an appeal, on TV, to the citizens to "... please leave your weapons at home".

Because that’s the problem here huh a-hole? Let’s not get mad at the hero duking it out at 3am with a handgun

These kinds of things aren't a problem that's going to go away. It's a split second decision made by trash who didn't go there with a gun looking to do anything wrong, but was able to access one when pissed off. No real way to prevent it if you're going to have armed people hauling drunks out of establishments all night long.

Shithole is gonna shite.....keep voting Dimocraps New Orleans.....

The FQ is a pretty small area that should be able to be made safe with a robust police presence. At this point N.O. is almost entirely dependent on tourism for its economic future. You would think that the city's #1 priority would be to get this squared away. You would be wrong I guess.

I avoid going to the quarter like the plague. They need a clean sweep on bourbon. They’ve let the bars turn into cesspools and the crowd has reflected that.
You are overexaggerating. Going to the quarter during non-peak seasons is a great time. Going during festivities such as Mardi Gras, which bring out the riff raff, could be a deadly time
