quote:
Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of helping the escapees, including a jail maintenance worker accused of shutting off water to the toilet, another inmate in the jail, and five other people.
Three of the 10 inmates who escaped were apprehended within the first 24 hours of the jailbreak. The other two were captured in the following days.
quote:
Lenton Vanburen was arrested in Baton Rouge by the Baton Rouge Police Department.
Leo Tate and Jermaine Donald were arrested in Walker County, Texas by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The Louisiana State Police is proud of the strong partnerships we share with our local, state, and federal law enforcement partners. This is a clear example of how effective collaboration and open communication between agencies can lead to successful outcomes!

Are they still doing odds for who gets caught?
Bold prediction: Groves will be apprehended in June, and Massey has already made it to Mexico never to be seen nor heard from again.
DISCLAIMER: The preceding is purely speculative and any similarities to actual events previously, now, or in the future are coincidental.

Hell, the most noticeable one of the bunch is in the finals. He should have been easy to spot with the face tattoos.

Yup. If there’s one I expect to actually end in a shootout it’s him.
He’s the most desperate and the biggest threat.

Wish I'd gone into Louisiana to bet on him from my phone.

I think they were caught because they were confused about where they were--or else it took this long to catch them because of confusion about where they were:
(From the nola.com front page, just a few minutes ago. In addition to Baton Rouge, I've heard of Mer Rouge, LA and Eau Rouge in Belgium, but not this one. Maybe somebody was drinking Pop Rouge instead of looking for criminals or editing a newspaper.)

I had Vanburen picked as the last escapee. I figured with that last name he’d be able to con his way into leeching off some old Northeastern socialite by pretending to be a descendant of President VanBuren. That’s an old money name, for sure.

unless their plan was to keep going until they got to California, this might have actually been a smart plan. not Walker County necessarily because it’s close enough to Fort Worth that it still has a decent amount of people/law enforcement coming through, but if they had been able to get 200-300 more miles west, that’s about the best place to get off the grid in the country

If one makes it to Cali and gets arrested my prediction is spot on
