I heard someone once saw a catfish under the USS Kidd that could swallow a full size truck.

Giant catfish do exist but yea the op is fake.

The world record is a Mekong Giant Catfish that weighed 646 lbs caught in Thailand

Wels catfish in Europe get big, record was caught in Italy in 2010 at over 9 ft long and 297 lbs

Just returned from a Viking cruise on the Seine River.
While docked in Paris, witnesses a fisherman from the boat next to us pull in a Wels catfish at least 6 ft long.
It was huge. Fought it for quite a while. Brought it to the surface, stuck his arm down the throat to remove the hook and released it.

Older video. He was filming and later helped them land the catfish.

OP being AI notwithstanding, I remember hearing stories about divers who inspected the lower portions of Guntersville Dam saying they weren't going back down there because the catfish were so big they were afraid.

No idea if that's true or urban legand

Ya think....

And they're getting worse and worse....

Like the dogs saving kids videos.... Funny how crazy it is that there was a camera right there right when the dog stopped the chest of draws from falling on the baby...

It was huge.

I’ve seen 5’ and 6’ catfish pulled from the Tangipahoa River an hour from New Orleans.
