It's a shame you can't just fire people for being terrible employees anymore.

this guy was an idiot though. You can't put that on paper
Why not?
Because a bunch of tweetin teenagers say you can’t because of their feelings?
I can’t wait for the day that common sense comes back into our society. The inmates have been running the asylum for too long

People who don't take off are weird af. (Doesn't count for self employed)

I'm on the manager's side here, but, damn, she sounds like an intolerable bitch. Zero reason to put all that crap in writing.
Three sentences would have sufficed: (1) Call outs are a problem. (2) More than one employee call out in 30 days will result in termination. (3) Thanks to all who show up and do their job.
Guarantee the problem is that shitty workers DGAF if they are fired since there are a dozen other establishments hiring across the street.

you are a genius. i wonder why she never thought of this obvious solution.
Good point, she works at an Italian version of McDonalds. Her complaining about terrible workers is like me complaining about rude Popeyes employees. It comes with the territory when you work at a terrible restaurant.

Keep waiting. This is only going to get worse. This isn't a pendulum swing; the pendulum is broken.

Imagine bragging about going to work at your restaurant job while sick. That's gross.
Also, that's obviously a lie about getting into a car accident, car being totaled, and still made it to work on time unless you randomly left for work hours before your shift.

Some people have no life outside of work and it's a possibility. Sounds like a few people in this thread honestly.

What did she do on the days she didn’t get in a wreck? Sit in the parking lot?
It’s an obvious lie and calls into question her own track record for attendance.

She opened up early and spot-checked the entire restaurant for dirt and then went to the office and masturbated.

You can't be that dramatic. You follow a termination process.
Posted on 12/7/22 at 1:17 pm to Major Dutch Schaefer
I’ve always wonder what it would take to get fired from Olive Garden. Many thanks.

Not always true. Have a son in law two degrees from LSU put himself through college waiting tables. Stayed with major chain and is now a partner.

In a 3 month span, I think I hired and fired and hired 15 people for a little store that only ever had 1-2 people on hand at a time.
I've gotten to a point where we're looking for someone with a pulse and semi decent demnor..again and this is for behavioral therapy, but the age range of people workign in this feild drives me nuts. They walk around my clinic all day btching about not having enough hours to make a living then call off a few times a week.
I'm currently dealing with someone who wer eprob gonna fire before she gets done training. She left for lunch at about 11 on Friday knowing we close for the day at fricking 1. She is constantly leaving and roaming doing her own thing and when we confronted her denied everything....then called in sick... now is walking around with a mask on acting dramatic as frick mentioning how bad she feels every 4 seconds waiting for me to send her home....aint happening buttercup. frick

Actually, after reading the note I'm glad the manager got shite canned. I hate people like that. If you're sick, take a day. If your staff seems to take too many sick days for your liking, maybe it's because no one wants to work for or with you, you tramp.
