And you were fricking retarded for doing it/ letting it happen to you. Imagine how little self esteem you have to have to not only pledge a frat, but drink bleach.

This story is fake as frick. Why would the mother go to the Kingfish blogspot site with her story rather than a reputable newspaper for the quotes used in the article? It isn’t citing another news report so Kingfish must’ve done the legwork himself

Kingfish 1935 . blogspot.com?

Y’all fell for this shite with all the grammatical errors even?

Not only the assholes making a pledge drink bleach, but how dumb is that fricking pledge?
"Hey, pledge, frick this fricking bleach."
"But isn't that dangerous?"
"Trust me, you'll be fine."
*Shrugs* "If you say so."

WTF

IF it happened that's not how it occurred. He was blindfolded then asked if he wanted water and bleach was sprayed into his mouth.

It's fricking wild how so many people in this thread made zero effort to click the link but have such strong opinions on it

How is this story not National news?

quote:

The pledges were asked if they wanted water.  Several said yes.  Frat members allegedly sprayed bleach in the faces of several pledges and mouth of the 20 year-old Yerger

Jeez. I mean obviously I know bleach is dangerous. But didn't know that a few sprays from a bottle could be enough to do that much damage to the bottle. From the title I pictured him chugging like a beer bottle or something.

That’s the thing_—it would be national news because they love to vilify young white men (righty so in the LSU death). They would’ve cited that LSU incident and created a story condemning that demographic

Yep. It's criminal! Make them dress up, blindfold them and have them do wall sits while saying the creed or some shite like that. But bleach!

Yeah, thinking it through there’s no way this wouldn’t have spread through campus and not made the DM by now. Everyone already hates the Pikes and this would have been the last straw. The only reason any of us believed it at the start is the nature of the accused (that and most of us were probably buzzed at the time). If this didn’t happen, Pike should sue this guy.

First off what kind of person pushes this?

2nd what kind of idiot actually does it? I’d have walked out. I wouldn’t want to be friends with people who want me to drink bleach. There was nobody there who stepped up and said hey this is not a good idea?

How stupid are kids these days? When I was in college just 10 years ago hazing was just alcohol and making pledges do embarrassing things but nothing that actually hurt them

I mean, he better be confident. Something’s not adding up. No one has asked why this guy is so fricked up now? No one in his dorm, his roommate, or his teachers aren’t asking questions? No one at the DM has gotten a whiff of this? Surely to God there would be some Pikes with moral character who would resign over this and go forward with the idiot who poured bleach down that pledge’s throat. This is the worst allegation I’ve ever heard from a fraternity, even worse than the Penn State fiasco where a pledge fell down the stairs and then basically later bled out in the chapter room. If they didn’t do this, he should prepare himself for the lawsuit over this, and if they did, multiple people are going to prison for this.

Idk about the journalist's reputation, but a note in the story says the kid and the mom don't have the same last name so "Yerger" was used in its place. Could be why he's not coming up in any searches

Yeah, but kids talk dude. I don’t buy they could have covered this up for roughly 6 months. I may believe dumb things about people I hate when I’m intoxicated, but when you’ve sobered up this one is hard to swallow, no pun intended. It would have been exposed within the month. I’m going to have to see some actual proof of this allegation.

Women are gullible, like when you say this is what 8 inches looks like.

I'm just holding out hope this type of shite didn't happen.

Wall sits, ode to a pledge, even though they called it owe to a pledge in that shite blog, sure. But swallowing enough bleach you have to move the position of your stomach?

And maybe even more that Ole Miss hasn't done shite or tried to contact the parents? I'm to sit here and believe adults don't exist in this world anymore?
