That Chinese place by Robert E. Lee was pretty good. Used to go there with my grandma. I believe the whole strip mall is called the "Smith-Lupo Center."

China Rose. The Rouses or Robert was Canal Villere and they had a TG&Y store there too.

Heck, just about every family had up to 6 kids. I'm one of 6 myself. Supper time, all Mom's would start calling for their kids to come in.

LOL! I'm trying to remember the theater we went to to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Would have been around 1977 or 1978. Think it was the The Gentilly Orleans Theater. "The theater burned down in 1978".
My other memories were about the food. Lakeview Seafood Restaurant (Oyster Loafs) was my favorite. Ye Old College Inn (Fried Oyster Plate).
