I'm fine with an age gap, but I have a hard time seeing how someone can be with a person who can't even legally join you for a beer with your friends. Unless you are a huge recluse, surely you had social engagements that took place in 21+ establishments, even if you don't drink.

So when I am 110, I have to date a 62 year old hag?

Depends on how old you are. 20? Go for it. 30+? You're a little odd.

If they don't know this line, then I'm out.

If you are the desert
I'll be the sea
If you ever hunger
Hunger for me
Whatever you ask for
That's what I'll be

I’m below the 1/2+7 number. Am I in trouble for violating this rule?

As for the thread, age gaps don't bother me and I think they widen more and more as we get older.

When I was 45 dating women up to 10 years younger worked out fine, today I am 63, and can see dating up to 20 years younger not being an issue, many of my single friends in my age bracket do.

Yeah we definitely don't have things figured out by the time we're 24. Dating a woman in her early twenties could work, but like someone said she has to have had different life experiences. You can't date one of us who hasn't dated many men or is too sheltered or not up to date on world events because talking with them reminds you how old you are and how young they are. I told my younger female coworker in her early twenties to find a guy in his early thirties who had his shite together that way in the event they may she won't have to spend time being his mother because he's already figured out how to love and be successful in relationships and most likely is secure financially. If I in my early thirties had to do dating again, I'd look for a man in his early forties 10+ years older. If it was a guy in his fifties, then he'd have to have adult kids either about to start college or even older.

I will admit, older men can be fun to date, especially... (yeah this is starting to sound like daddy issues but whatever) if they're experienced sexually, then that's always nice. Until that is, they start telling you what to do and how to live and don't value your opinion outside the bedroom. So just watch what you say and how you say it to not sound like her dad.

Got married when Reagan was in his first term to a (in case she ever reads this) WONDERFUL woman almost exactly my age.

Been a nice third of a century together, can’t imagine (and don’t the waste time & energy trying) a better gig.

I’ve been enough of a student of humanity to agree with the 1/2 + 7 rule for older men when negotiating with younger females.

Happy hunting there folks.

I'm 38 and want to dabble in the 28+ age women. Since my mid 30's, women in the 38-43 range have seemed more attractive to me b/c they are recently divorced or about to be, still real hot and like to have raw sex pretty quick.

I wouldn't advise you to look under 25 b/c most those have no idea about anything they want in life.
