re: Older guys, when did you start dating younger women?

Yeah, daddy issues definitely aren’t exclusive to chicks in their 20’s
And daddy issues aren’t necessarily a deal breaker, if you are into being in a position of dominance. Some women want guidance. Want to be taught

Yeah you need a 26-28 year old. Cynicism starts around 29. Those three qualities, intelligence, competence, and self-assurance are difficult to find with a woman who's willing to put up with anyone's bs. Like finding a needle in a haystack. I'd never say she doesn't exist, but it'll be very difficult to find in a younger woman in early twenties who wasn't using you for your money.

I've always been aware of that particular arrangement. They sure as shite don't sleep in my bed because they like to hear ramblings about the Allman Brothers, Austrian Economics, and European historical demography.

I have been 'dad' in almost every relationship I've ever been in. I somehow seem to draw the ones with father issues. I basically become a counselor that they enjoy fricking. It's not terrible but it gets old having to do every bit of thinking.
See, I seem to assume that role in most of my dalliances now. Although they are expressly forbidden from calling me “daddy”. It’s just weird to me. That’s my kids’ name for me.
They call me Captain. It works with the pirate theme. A position of control and dominance, but also one that serves to please and protect.
Which I guess is a “daddy” of sorts. Just without the pseudo-incestual trappings

Sounds interesting honestly. But I have to be big spoon, ok?

The rule is divide by 2 add 7. If you are 32 you can date 23. If you are 40, 27.
I started dating you get when I was 45. My best and most fulfilling relationship was with a 40 yr old though. I dated 23-52.

No, the point is about women in their early twenties because that's when you're in college and dating and experimenting and finding out what you like. An older woman most likely had her own career and money and still would have her issues but less of the whole wanting to experiment and take direction and advice from a man because she's been independent for some time.

I will admit, older men can be fun to date, especially... (yeah this is starting to sound like daddy issues but whatever) if they're experienced sexually, then that's always nice. Until that is, they start telling you what to do and how to live and don't value your opinion outside the bedroom. So just watch what you say and how you say it to not sound like her dad.
What’s the key to not sounding like a dad?

Making her feel as though you value her input on different subjects. Being able to carry a contain without saying the words sweetie and sweetheart in a condescending manner would also help. I hated a guy who only said those words to me when we got to debating issues. He always said that to me and when he knew i was getting pissed about how he was talking to me, he'd back down and try to change the subject to something else or even just randomly compliment me as if I'd forget the previous conversation.

I hope you enjoy cuddling a bag of bones with thick hair and the odor of stale beer.

This sounds like the type of women you attract/are attracted to more than anything else. You wouldn't sound like a dad to a more independent type because she wouldn't give you that opportunity to be so dominant.

The ones that want that sort of dynamic. “Master” doesn’t fit. “Daddy” is weird as frick and a turn off. (Although if it comes in another language, no problem.)
I like to be in control. And the ones I usually have fun with want to be dominated. So Captain works perfectly. It’s happened organically. Just my presence.

Eh...it’s not something I force but it is kind of my thing. I typically step into the leadership positions in a group setting when things need to get done unless there’s someone else already competently at the “helm” so to speak. Someone has to. And so when a woman falls into a role of me being in control and there is mutual attraction, I tend to embrace it.
A man has to have confidence and control of his situation to be attractive. And I guess I am attracted to women that are attracted to that control.

So, a regular dude liking regular women? That's fricking crazy. Pretty misogynistic, too.

I had a dream where i was a escort (cough, prostitute) working in DFW and had a customer who wanted to me to call him master. Very strange to say the least
Posted on 4/4/18 at 12:29 am to fr33manator
Well, you answered your own question. You will always sound like dad as long as you're dating "follower" types. Nothing wrong with it.

Not about age. It's about how well you connect
I know old maids that suck and younger girls that are cool as shite and vice versa

“Master” just ain’t me. Doesn’t fit. I don’t want a slave. I just happen to like a woman that desires to be dominated in the bedroom and told what to do in the day to day. Not in a way that robs them of their own cognizance, but in a way that a certain form of submission gives them a sense of presence and place.
