These threads are always so weird. As long as she's legal, age shouldn't matter, as long as you have stuff worthwhile in common.

BTW, I'm not buying for a second that those pics you uploaded are of the chick you're banging. They're suspiciously grainy.

When I was 32 I dated a 20 year old. Turns out she was too immature for me so I dumped her.

Porque no los dos? I've lived a very intense 31 years and have so much wisdom to give to nubile young women.

Nah, politics and the internet don't mix. Actually nowadays you can't speak with people on politics even in real life because neither side wants to listen to the other and value different opinions. Moderates don't seem to be appreciated anymore and aren't loud and obnoxious as the left and right.

I just thought about this, I in my early thirties could not date someone who when watching the news could say, "I remember when Kennedy was shot." That would be the end of that affair for me that was like when I said to a coworker, "I remember 9/11 like it was yesterday and saw the news live in high school when the towers fell" and my coworker said he was like in kindergarten.

Because you end up sounding like her dad and you just don't want to go there. She's already got one and doesn't need another. Although, if she's more dependent on you, then it could work out, but with an independent, opinionated female, she'd be there only for the sex and would leave once that got boring.

yeah it's pretty pathetic how people get all bent out of shape.

Damn, these youngsters barely remember 9/11

I was a freshman in college 9/11

I have been 'dad' in almost every relationship I've ever been in. I somehow seem to draw the ones with father issues. I basically become a counselor that they enjoy fricking. It's not terrible but it gets old having to do every bit of thinking.

Yeah can you imagine talking about 9/11 to someone who responds with, "oh i read about that in my history book" great way to make you feel old

So then, do you find self-assured/confident, intelligent women or just the attractive, younger ones? I would think it's hard to find an intelligent woman who was independent without daddy issues in her early twenties. There's just a type of transformation women go through in their twenties. Just don't venture into the thirties crowd because that's when we become jaded and cynical. Also, those of us working with the public also lose our optimism and idealism about the world so that's something to watch out for, occupation I mean.

Mostly the latter. I find intelligence, competence, and assuredness to be attractive, but not as attractive as a good figure, pretty face, and a willingness to suffer my bullshite.

I'm confused.

Daddy issues aren't age related. You have issues with your dad or you don't. It makes your crazy/slutty or it doesn't. Unless there's a definition of it I'm not aware of?

Huh? That poster is a female responding to a dude. And she said it will be hard to find a decent chick in her 20s without daddy issues. I am asking why daddy issues would have something to do with being in your 20s. Surely there are women in their 20s who had fine dad-lives? Right?

My definition of day issues would be a woman whose dad wasn't around to instill those values of how to behave as a woman and how she should want to be treated by a man. Likes to have a strong male partner to be the head of household and she takes the traditional role as a nuturer. See George Michael's lyrics to 'father figure ' song

moderate one, a combination of both is great but you don't see it until they hit around 40 statistically speaking

I guess my question is why this would be hard to find specifically for a certain age group. Basically, why would women in their early 20s have absentee fathers vs. woman in their late 20s?

I'm not in my early 20s anymore - just curious as to why this would be the case.
