My observation is guys 60+ have humor similar to a 13yo. Just put dirty words together in a somewhat coherent sentence and you'll get a chuckle.

I often wonder where I'll be when I'm old. I'm 39 right now. I am a software developer. Not OT baller status but respectable in the grander scheme. My dad and several other elders have an odd fascination with digital stuff. Social media, pictures etc. I do my damndest to not play with my phone when I'm hanging out with friends and even my wife. But it seems the older generation has a flywheel effect when it comes to technology and they are infatuated with it. I respect my elders and let them speak their mind but the observation has been made.

Some crass people grow out of it,some don't. And some people lose their filter as they age. This can be good if it leads them to speak their mind without fear of consequences. It can be bad if it makes them do or say stupid things.
If I saw someone I had looked up to when I was younger wearing that shirt, it would make me sad.

This is the most crass shirt I have. It is ancient, probably close to 30 years old. I only wear it at the crag. I don't wear it at the climbing gym because it would be hypocritical.
