It's definitely an indicator but it isn't the nail in the coffin. People make mistakes. People have addictions. Some people are ruled by emotions. Any of these can led a good man into doing stupid things.

Had a good friend that did time on trumped up charges (manslaughter that should have been self defense). Had a good character before and a good character after he did 20 years.

Any one of those most unforgivable crimes and you're dead to me. Think that goes for most of us.

I had an old friend that got his arse kicked for “no reason” at a bar. He says he was only arrested for farting during questioning, released with no charges. We still don’t know what really happened. That guy was a clown

Guy I was friends with is doing 20 years for child porn. Victor Loraso, was an attorney in Baton Rouge. It’ll be a long time before he gets out and I doubt I ever see him again. Don’t really need to

Did you always suspect something with this guy? Was he creepy?

Old friend from high school got charged with murder in 11th grade after one of his friends shot a drug dealer. My friend pleaded guilty to accessory and got 8 or 10.

He’s been in and out multiple times for drug charges since then.

About a month ago, the feds got a multi-count indictment against he and some acquaintances who were all in a gang that started in prison. Rico, drug trafficking, fraud, two counts of murder, etc. I think if found guilty, he’s facing 180 years.

Haven’t seen him in 20 years. He has always been a POS obviously

Bought my house from a brick layer (the builder) whose wife had 2 daughters (previous marriage) and a crazy 18 yr old son. One daughter was dating a soccer player from S. America. Later, brick layer, while visiting with wife's daughter's boyfriend in S. America, was found dead after a house fire. We and others suspected it was murder, but evidence was lacking and the wife collected a large life insurance sum.

She later married a bar owner in a near by town and paid a bar maid to lure that husband to a wooded area where her son (waiting) blew him away with a shotgun. Dead husband had a lot of life insurance.

The widow and her son were sentenced to life in prison for murder. She still petitioned the court to collect the life insurance, but was denied. Some people are simply trash.

I had one friend ten years ago murder his wife whom I also considered a friend thus orphaning their daughter. Screw that guy but wow was it something nobody saw coming. He is sieving life now. I had another friend who beat cancer and had a party for beating cancer and he blacked out and killed two young men in a drunk driving accident. He got 20 years for manslaughter. I do feel for him because of the circumstances but dang.

Yeah. He was definitely in a bad spot mentally then but overall he was a genuinely good dude. I won’t mention his name because likely some of y’all may know him but I’m sure those that know him would agree. He’s a brilliant guy and graduated in chemical engineering, just got caught up in a bad situation I guess. I dunno I had sort of distanced myself from him by then because life/wife/kids had me not keeping up with the Ruston crowd

A few in differemt times for selling/distributing weed in SELA.

It fricked all their lives and none of them have really recovered from it.

Thats high school. Elementary and middle probably about 1/3 of them are in prison. These all grew up to become pos thugs.

I had a buddy that went to prison for stealing copper or similar from what I recall. He got pissed when I wouldn’t send his significant other money to pay her cable bill.
Now that he’s out he probably posts on here.

Tell Cecil (Collins) that he was better at running the rock than climbing in females' windows, although perhaps he will debate that.

Not a friend by any means but just a guy I knew because I rode the same bus as a freshman with him (he was a senior riding the bus, which was a red flag) in HS went to prison for kiddie porn. No one was shocked whatsoever as this guy had always been beyond weird. I think he did 10 years. Saw he got released at some point only because the Gonzales newspaper ran a story saying he was out less than 3 months before he was arrested once again for the same thing. He’s still in prison for the second offense as far as I know.

One of my best friends from HS and I lost touch post-graduation. He got caught up in a bad crowd later in life and got caught with a meth lab in LP. Did I think 5 years. When he got out he divorced his shitty baby mama and from what I hear is doing incredibly well and turned his life around. We haven’t spoken since prior to his arrest but I’m very happy and proud of him for his recovery.

1st cousin is in Angola for life for 1st degree murder of his Wife when he was drunk one night.

Well sometimes.

If he killed/hurt someone for hurting his family (wife/child/parents) then he should be rewarded.

Any other reason, then yeah.

Guys are more loyal than women to friends from the past for some reason. I get it.
