I would like to welcome all of the actual TD weather folks to post as much as they like in this thread, and for those that are generally interested in these types of events to share pertinent information as well.
As strange as it might seem to some of you, some actually do rely on these threads for information, so keeping it on-topic is very much appreciated.

If this thing dumps a lot of rain in East/Texas NW Louisiana and Oklahoma it could be devastating, talk about Murphy's law.

The high pressure in the southeast looks like it will keep this event moving NW into Texas...I wish it would push it farther south and give Texas a break... I mean how much more rain can they handle????

I'm far from a weather person. I just know some pretty decent weather usually follows a tropical system. Also seems the area that just misses the storm has some good weather. Reason I post is bc I've been watching this very closely bc I am putting on a district baseball tournament this fri-sun. Should I get clear weather in the Lafayette area for the weekend as this storm gets pushed away? Or is the weekend too far away and the storm will already be cleared and the weather will be back to normal summer weather?

I've been wondering the same thing...also this will pour tons of water into the Red River basin, so Shreveport will not get any relief from the recent flooding.

just got an outer band here by the coast and it dumped an 1" of rain in 10 minutes. holy shite.

Is there any chance it pulls toward lake charles?
A direct hit there would end up with less water in Red river in the long run.

I saw that band rolling north.....Heavy rain ,but seemed the storm moved by quickly.

Doesnt look like it. I am on the eastern side of Houston and hoping it doesnt get too crazy. I just dont want power to go out since it doesnt really flood by me.

pretty sure work is going to be shut down tomorrow here in Baytown. Operations came over the PA this morning to have everyone start securing the work areas for the weather approaching. Today is just clean up mode and pick up all there shite.

Just a guess, but I'd imagine you'd be okay on Wed. The plane might be able to land, just wondering how bad the roads will be down there.
