Do we know if he was responding to a call at the time of the crash?

I noticed a bike officer the other day and for some reason strongly considered the danger that adds to the job. Praying that he makes it through for his family.

I drove up on the scene trying to get home, Jones Creek was completely shut down.

looks like someone pulled out from the apartments on jones creek in front of the officer
looking at street view (can see fence and trees), the suv came out of the apartment entrance. no red light there, so they going to be 100% in the fault....

hope the officer pulls through.
how much trouble is the truck driver gonna be in? Kinda hard to explain this one.
Oh and nice video Channel 2. Looked like you were replaying it through a steel box wrapped in aluminum foil next to a microwave.

BRPD posted this on Facebook about 30 minutes ago.

The BRPD family is in need of your prayers. A BRPD motorcycle officer was involved in a serious crash today around 2:30pm in the 6400 block of Jones Creek near Shenandoah. The officer was transported to a local hospital with critical injuries. Fellow Officers, friends and families are rallying together in support and with prayers for the officer and his family. Thank you in Advance.....

Probably nothing. The stupid bitch (I think she was drunk too) who pulled out in front of Cpl. Metternich on Sherwood/Newcastle in 2006 got a slap on the wrist.

The BRPD Union posted that he was going into surgery. I'm assuming that means he at least survived the trip to the hospital.

SPEEDY, I heard this guy has been in a fairly high-profile incident before. Is that true?

I hope the best for the officer and the family.

It was a funeral escort
How does one even pull out in front of a funeral procession? I just don't get how that happened.
Poor officer and his family and poor family on their way to burying a loved one and going through this. Tough stuff.

Praying he will come out of this good

Probably leading procession going to next light before procession. They fly doing that but with lights and sirens. Prayers.
