Jesus. I don't think degrees from any of those schools are worth a lot more than the other.. I was expecting you to say she was really smart but decided to go to Alcorn St are something.

These are all a bunch of middling schools. None of which are difficult to get into.

Out of all those schools, it indeed seems odd that one would single out Auburn as the "druggie" school.

She was paying attention to the spice scandal at the end of Chizik's time there.
There's nothing really odd here. She probably followed her boyfriend, and was picking among a bunch of state schools. It's not like turning down Harvard Law for community college.

Maybe she knows some people there who use drugs. Maybe she went on a visit and saw somebody smoking weed. Life changing decisions are made on snap judgments all the time.

My wife talked to her mom, turns out there is a big Moo State booster involved with their school that has opened up a lot of MSU academic recruiting to the kids.
So it makes a little bit more sense now, there are several kids from her school already in Starkville and some others in her class are heading there too.
She probably could have aimed higher on her Academic choices, but she didn’t.
I am not putting her on blast, helicoptering her, judging her or anything of the sort, different strokes for different folks. Just thought the whole thing was unusual and thought i would share.
Some great responses in here and as usual some angry idiots too
Now back to the Oweo OT thread of the day
