Odd family story - young female cousin’s college choice

Backstory
daughter of my wife’s closest first cousin (no pics of wife, cousin or teen)
They live in south Alabama area
Teen girl goes to higher end private school
Graduating with all A’s in college prep, top of her class
Book Smart girl, no common sense, very spoiled
Now it gets weird - she went through college admissions and visits and here is the report card
Auburn - didn’t like it, school is “full of druggies”
Alabama - got in on early admission, says the school must suck because she got in so easy
Ole Miss - didn’t like the small town it is in
LSU - not going to LA, no way
SpringHill - too many weirdos
South Al - wants to go further away from home
Her choice? Moo State. For business school, because it is “pretty” (and her Bama Bangs BF is going there for Turf Grass Degree)
We all realize she torpedoed all her choices because of her BF, but Holy Shitballs
This turns out badly right? Bama Bangs breaks up with her and then she realizes she is stuck in Starkville
She has numerous scholarships to these schools and it isn’t a money thing at all. I can’t believe she dismissed Auburn and Bama so casually.

She’s 18 and away from home for the first time with a bazillion other young people in the same situation plus alcohol... prob isn’t going to care that much about the city.

I spent six months at South Al and loved it. West Mobile is great and the campus is beautiful. Not a bad choice.
I did have to listen to Finebaum before he was national. This was back in 2012.

Honestly, big state schools offer the best opportunities.
Ivy League offers great opportunities as well but if family income over $100k your gonna be taking loans. Decision I had to make.
My terminal degree(STEM) is from Tulane. Obviously better than LSU on every metric. I'd have been better off going to LSU. It's all about what connections the school has to industry. Tulane students are generally old school northeast money. If your not one of them Tulane degree really means shite.
Big state schools like LSU etc do a pretty good job networking and generating opportunities for grads with big companies.
Why is a "smart" girl majoring in business?
Any moron can do that.
Do finance with a math or comp sci double major something difficult to set her apart.
