OP chose a bad thread title. That’s not what he said. Regardless it sounds like a dicey proposition that may lead to more people getting crushed.

Let's see...

The Soviets landed a probe on Venus back in the - 70s [?] I think it was. Might've been the early 80s. Anyway, they got less than one minute's worth of operation time once it landed, and ONE discernable photo of the surface before the heat and atmosphere of Venus ended the mission for them.

What the hell is WRONG with these people?

Venus…. The planet we can’t get a probe to the surface of because of the atmospheric pressure and the acidity of the atmosphere?

He gonna build that containment out of recycled paper towel tubes and guerrilla glue?

Don't forget the duck tape. Not to be confused with duct tape btw. It's crucial

Does he plan on duct taping a bunch of model rockets together to get there?

Why stop at Venus? During winter, when the sun is cooler, we should be landing on the sun.

Hey man, I’m in the process of building a 2-stage rocket that can launch a GoPro 1500 ft in the air that’s made out of these materials and some balsa wood. The prototype is almost finished but I glued some of the wings on wrong. That has been corrected and maiden flights should be ready this weekend.

So, research has begun.

Ehhhhhh, just have a somewhat attractive blonde with an affected speaking style throw out a few technical buzzwords and rich idiots will throw money at this venture.

Frankly makes more sense than trying to nuke an atmosphere into mars

But does it? There’s still no breathable air but on Venus everything has to float which doesn’t seem that easy.

I assume the presence of an atmosphere on Venus means it’s protected from space radiation, which is the bigger issue with space colonization than anything else

Look how many took the vax and 3+ boosters, there would be enough to fill up a trip to Venus.

When they never came back (due to average temperature on Venus is 864 degrees Fahrenheit ) it will be due to climate change / our man made global warming is so bad it is affecting Venus now. Time for permanent climate change lockdowns
