No, because we still need to have the conversation

We discussed this last week. It's Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine.

BBQs and lemonade stands bout to start popping up all over New York.

people take the law into their hands as opposed to calling the cops
This would be the result in many cases. People will reason that if they're going to be charged anyway, they'll handle the situation personally and make sure it won't happen again.

Vermont is done. MAYBE New Hampshire.
Durant, Absaroka County, Wyoming...;)
No, it's not a real venue.

NY trying to out-retard Cali; not a bad effort tho

There is a simple solution -- get 12% of the population to stop committing more than 50% of the violent crime in this country.

This law would be retarded, but people should stop calling the cops on people who are sleeping in a commons area, barbecuing in a park, or walking to their vehicles.

There is no pattern
And LOL. I have to have EVIDENCE to call 911? WTF

That doesn't mean people should abandon common sense. If I saw a black female at an Ivy League university sleeping in a commons area surrounded by her books, there is a .0000001% chance she's a violent criminal.
This isn't a hypothetical, but actually happened to a student at Yale recently.

Calling 911 On Black People May Be Hate Crime Under Proposed Law

You're making the assumption that all black folks are involved?
The overwhelming majority are good people.

I’m a white guy and I had 911 called on me numerous times when I worked for the census back in 2000. I met many a cop, dozens of times, during that summer. It was an eye opener.
I had no idea so many people live in fear. Literally all you have to do is walk up to someone’s front door and ring the bell and they immediately pick up the phone and call 911 without ever coming to the door. And it was always out in the suburbs. I never once encountered the cops in the city or even in the ghetto.
It was a great social experiment, that job. I went through thousands of homes and people. Based on my experience, I can breakdown society as:
20% nice people
60% ambivalent
20% total bastards

Just a guess- but I'm thinking this guy's take on what constitutes "malice" might be a bit different than many....

This is basically what is called a way to get re-elected.
It is completely ridiculous and literally has no relevance to real life but the very people that will see it are the people that will re-elect this moron.
So, bravo senator on your pandering. It is well done.

It's my biggest issue with people who persistently cite that stat. Some don't know the difference between "most violent crime is committed by blacks" and "most blacks commit violent crime".
I hate black dysfunction more than anyone, so I don't like getting lumped in with the trash.
